New Campaign Creation Flow
Beginning July 2025, RollWorks has started to slowly roll out a new campaign creation process for a better user experience and added features. Some customers may not yet see this experience, therefore may have fewer settings available than described here. To get expedited access, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager. AdGroups allows you to break down your campaign into different subsets. At a minimum your Campaign will have one AdGroup, but you can create as many as needed.
AdGroups provide flexibility in campaign management and allow for more targeted advertising strategies within a single campaign and a shared budget.
Please note that AdGroups are not supported for Playbooks.
B2B AdGroup Example
For example, if you're hosting a live webinar, you can launch a Web Retargeting Campaign and create a specific AdGroup to:
- Serve specific ad sets promoting your webinar within your web retargeting campaign budget.
- Define a custom schedule to stop serving ads for your webinar after the webinar starts, all while maintaining your general retargeting campaign running as usual.
-
Define the specific audiences that should be targeted to attend your webinar:
- Traffic that has visited your webinar landing page using a Website Audience.
- Email lists from previous webinar registers.
- People who have submitted a form on your website to attend the webinar.
AdGroup Settings
- Select a specific creative ad set.
- Run ads set on a custom schedule.
- Target and exclude a particular audience.
- Exclude Web Environments: Desktop, Mobile Web, Mobile App.
- Target a specific location.
- Measure individual advertising performance for each AdGroup.

- You cannot allocate specific budgets for different AdGroups.
- If selected, General Exclusions settings are applied to all AdGroups.
