New creation flow applies to Web & CTV campaigns only
The updates and new features in this article are only available for Web and CTV Campaigns. These changes do not apply to Playbooks, LinkedIn, or Facebook/IG campaigns.
As of July 2025, the campaign creation flow for launching Web and CTV campaigns has been updated for a better user experience, along with some new capabilities. Once the new campaign creation flow is enabled for your account:
- You will no longer be able to launch new campaigns using the legacy campaign creation flow.
- While you can resume paused legacy campaigns, we advise rebuilding them from scratch using the new campaign creation flow.
You will now see “Ad Campaigns” instead of “Websites and Apps” under the Create New Campaign dropdown.
This allows you to select either Web or Connected TV campaigns as your channel and toggle between the two while creating a campaign.
Once you create a campaign using the new flow, there are several new features available that are not available on the legacy campaign creation flow:
Allows you to save your work in progress and return later to finalize and launch. Learn more here.
You have the option to configure App and Domain exclusions at the campaign level to control the placements where your ads served. Campaign-specific exclusions are applied in addition to any configured General Exclusions. Your Campaign-specific exclusions apply to all AdGroups within your campaign.
Learn more about campaign-specific exclusions here.
Previously, you could only set daily budgets. Now you have the option to select between a daily or monthly budget.
The monthly budget can be prorated (based on the number of days left in the month) or you can use the entire monthly budget for the amount of days remaining in the month. Your budget settings apply to all AdGroups within your campaign.
Learn more about campaign budget settings here.
Environments refer to your ‘targeting environments’. You can select which environments to target within each Campaign AdGroup to include or exclude:
- Desktop: Larger screen real estate for more detailed ad content and different user behavior and intent compared to mobile platforms.
- Mobile Web: Broader reach across various websites and lower barrier to entry and often more budget-friendly. Excellent for brand awareness campaigns and contextual targeting.
- Mobile Apps: Immersive ad formats like interstitials.

To gain access to the new benefits, your campaign must be created from the new campaign creation flow. To migrate a legacy campaign to a new campaign, you must end the legacy campaign and rebuild it from scratch.
