What is the Oracle Eloqua Integration

The Oracle Eloqua Integration for RollWorks connects your Oracle Eloqua account to the RollWorks platform and syncs contact lists to power your Account-Based strategy. With this integration you will be able to:

  • Target Oracle Eloqua contact lists with personalized Advertising Campaigns tailored to role, sales stage, company, or any other contact lists you’ve built in Oracle Eloqua.
  • Engage and reach known decision-makers at target accounts included in your Account Lists.
  • Create multi-channel strategies by reaching known contacts through email directly in Oracle Eloqua and through RollWorks ad Web Campaigns and Facebook Campaigns.

At this time the Oracle Eloqua Integration with RollWorks does not sync RollWorks data into Oracle Eloqua.

Who can access

In order to access the Oracle Eloqua Integration, customers must be on:

  • Oracle Eloqua Subscription: Basic, Standard, or Enterprise.
  • RollWorks Subscription: Starter, Standard, Professional, or Ultimate

To find your current subscription, log in to RollWorks and navigate to Settings > Billing > Plans & Usage.


Connect Oracle Eloqua with RollWorks

Before you start

🚨  The integrating user must be in one of the following security groups to grant RollWorks read access to Contact Lists and Contact emails:

      • "Basic Users - Marketing" 
      • "Advanced Users - Marketing"

While this doesn’t prevent successful authentication, you will not be able to sync Contact Lists into RollWorks unless the correct security groups are assigned to the integrating user.


Step1: Login to RollWorks

  • Log in to RollWorks
  • Navigate to 'Integrations' > 'CRM & Marketing Automation' > 'Oracle Eloqua'
  • Click 'Connect'

Step 2: Enter your Oracle Eloqua information

  • Click 'Login' when prompted in the Oracle Eloqua authentication experience
  • Enter your Oracle Eloqua Company Name, Username, and Password credentials.


You are done! You will be taken back to RollWorks and will see a message indicating "Your Oracle Oracle Eloqua account is successfully connected to RollWorks"

Import contact lists

Before you start

Importing your Oracle Eloqua Contact Lists to RollWorks will allow you to either target this audience with Ads or to exclude this audience from these RollWorks Ad Campaigns:

You must ensure that your Oracle Eloqua account is connected to RollWorks. Learn how-to here

Your Oracle Eloqua Contact List must contain a minimum of 100 emails for you to run an Advertising campaign in RollWorks.


Step 1: Create a Contact List in Oracle Eloqua

👉  Good to know: 'Segments' in Oracle Eloqua are called 'Contact Lists' in RollWorks

Log in to Oracle Eloqua and click
'Audience', 'Segments', and then 'Create a new Segment'Any segments that you have created in Oracle Eloqua are eligible to be imported into RollWorks as contact lists.  You can skip this step if you already have existing Oracle Eloqua segments that you want to bring over to RollWorks.

Step 2: Import Contact List to RollWorks

  • ​​Login to RollWorks, navigate to 'Integrations' > 'CRM & Marketing Automation', and click on the Oracle Eloqua card.
  • Click the button labeled 'Import Lists' to view all available Oracle Eloqua Contact Lists
  • Select the Contact List(s) that you wish to import and click 'Done'

After completing the steps above you have successfully synced your selected Oracle Eloqua segments over to RollWorks as Contact Lists. If the lists you import are dynamic Contact Lists in Oracle Eloqua they will update automatically in RollWorks.

Now that you have synced over your contact lists from Oracle Eloqua to RollWorks, you can engage or suppress this audience in your RollWorks Ad Campaigns.


Find Oracle Eloqua Contact Lists

The data sync between RollWorks and Oracle Eloqua is scheduled daily at 15:00 (UTC), any new lists created in Oracle Eloqua will appear as available to be imported to RollWorks after this daily sync. After importing a list, RollWorks will complete the cookie matching process, which can take up to 72 hours. You cannot use imported Contact Lists in your Ad Campaigns until this cookie matching process is complete.

To find your Oracle Eloqua Contact lists in RollWorks:

  • Log in to RollWorks and go to 'Audiences' > 'Contact Audiences'
  • Under 'Synced Audiences' use the filter 'Source' = 'Eloqua' to view Oracle Eloqua contact lists only.
  • Or search your contact list name.

To confirm if a Contact List is ready to be used in Ad Campaigns login to RollWorks use the Synced Audience Status:

Synced Audience Status Description
Waiting for matches You have successfully imported this list and Rollworks is matching your contact email addresses to use browser cookies. This process can take up to 72 hours.
Ready to use The cookie matching process has been completed and your Contact List is ready to be used in an Ad Campaign.
Audience too Small The imported contact list has less than 100 email addresses and cannot be used in RollWorks Ad Campaigns
Audience no longer Syncing RollWorks is unable to update your imported contact list from Oracle Eloqua, either because this list has been deleted from Oracle Eloqua or has changed.

If you are unable to sync segments from Oracle Eloqua to RollWorks as contact lists we suggest confirming that the integrating user is set up in one of the following security groups to grant RollWorks read access to Contact Lists and Contact emails:

      • "Basic Users - Marketing" 
      • "Advanced Users - Marketing"



Can I see RollWorks data and reports directly in Oracle Eloqua?

At this time the Oracle Eloqua Integration with RollWorks does not sync RollWorks data into Oracle Eloqua.


What is the minimum amount of emails required in a Contact List to run an Ad campaign?

Your contact list must contain a minimum of 100 emails for you to run a campaign in RollWorks.

Why is the contact list size in RollWorks different than the list size in Oracle Eloqua? 

The list size surfaced in RollWorks is after email validation.  It’s possible an Oracle Eloqua Contact List has invalid emails (e.g., not a recognized email format) which RollWorks skips ingesting.
