Who can access
All the customers including those without a subscription package can use Pixel Assistant.
To find your current package, log in to AdRoll ABM and navigate to Settings > Billing > Plans & Usage.
How to launch
- Log in to AdRoll ABM and navigate to the left menu, and click Audiences
- Click Website Audiences.
- Click on the Pixel Assistant card to launch Pixel Assistant.
- Launching Pixel Assistant will open your website home page in a new browser tab with the Pixel Assistant tool open, as shown below. You may choose which of the 4 tasks you want to complete to help you optimize your Pixel’s health; they don’t need to be done sequentially or at the same time.
Segment your website audiences
You can confirm if your high-value website pages have been added to a Website Audience, or you can create Website Audiences directly from Pixel Assistant without having to go back to the AdRoll ABM platform.
Navigating through your website pages while having Pixel Assistant open will allow you to confirm if a page has been added to your account as a Website Audience so that you can track traffic for this segment and use it in your campaigns.
If a page has not been added as a Website Audience, Pixel Assistant will indicate the page is part of our default catch-all segment called 'Visitors to Unsegmented Pages'.
When creating a new Website Audience directly using Pixel Assistant, you can indicate if they are a Conversion Audience or not. It is important that you define all your Conversion Audiences so that your campaigns are optimized and your reports are accurate.
You are all set! Pixel Assistant will display a confirmation message after you successfully create a Website Audience. Your new Website Audience will be available on the AdRoll ABM platform under Audiences > Website Audiences.
Your audiences will be available to you when launching Retargeting campaigns and Playbooks.
Authorize forms for data collection
You can use Pixel Assistant to set up email collection on every form on your website.
Go through the steps in this Help Center article to learn how to use Pixel Assistant to ensure that email collection has been set up correctly for every form to maximize your email address capture. You can also enable Automatic Form Tracking to track submissions from Marketo and HubSpot forms.
Categorize your website pages
You can use Pixel Assistant to ensure that all your website pages are properly categorized (eg, about us, pricing and plans, newsletter) with the objective to help inform our bidding technology, which will result in better optimization for your campaigns.
Median Pixel Load Time
Use this as an indicator of how fast/slow the Pixel is loading on your website. If the pixel is not loading fast, this means it's likely you are missing out on tracking and de-anonymizing website visitors.
We consider a sample of URLs and calculate the average time for loading our Pixel.
| Status | Pixel Load Time |
|---|---|
| Slow | >= 5 seconds |
| Medium | between 3 and 5 seconds |
| Fast | <= 3 seconds |
Once a day, we recalculate the average load time on the pages where the pixel is placed.
What to do if your pixel load time is slow?
The actions you may take to improve the pixel load time will be specific to your own website. Talk to your website administrator to understand what third-party scripts or resources are loaded before the Pixel.
