Connecting Multiple CRMs (Salesforce & HubSpot) with AdRoll ABM

Scope & Purpose

  • Learn how data flows, which fields are mapped, and how reporting works when Salesforce and HubSpot are integrated simultaneously with AdRoll.
  • This guide is specifically for connecting one AdRoll profile to multiple CRMs. If you are trying to link multiple AdRoll profiles to a single CRM instance, please refer to our Multi-Profile CRM Setup Guide

AdRoll ABM supports connecting both Salesforce (SFDC) and HubSpot to a single AdRoll profile. When both CRMs are connected, one must be designated as the Primary CRM. The Primary designation controls which CRM receives the full daily data export and Sales Insights features. The Secondary CRM will have access to limited features.

This article explains what data each CRM receives in either role and key limitations to be aware of when a CRM is configured as Secondary.

What Each CRM Receives

The table below summarizes features and data availability by role (Primary vs. Secondary). The same logic applies regardless of which platform, Salesforce or HubSpot, is assigned to either role.

Feature / Capability Primary CRM Secondary CRM
Data Ingestion from CRM to AdRoll ABM Enabled Enabled
ABM daily data export to CRM Full, all fields Not available
Sales Insights Widget & Alert, and Seat Management Supported Not supported

How It Works

The principles below apply regardless of which CRM you designate as Primary or Secondary. Salesforce and HubSpot are referenced as illustrative examples only.

1. Data Ingestion from CRM to AdRoll ABM

AdRoll reads from both connected CRMs for account, contact list building, and workflows. Ingestion is fully enabled for both your Primary and Secondary CRMs; no action is required to activate reading from either platform.

2. ABM Data Export from AdRoll to CRM

ABM data (ad activity, engagement metrics, journey stages, ICP grades, etc.) is exported daily.

3. Sales Insights (Email Alerts & CRM Widget)

Sales Insights features, including email spike alerts, the in-CRM activity widget, and Sales Insights seat allocation, are only supported for your Primary CRM:

  • Sales Insights emails and CRM widgets are powered by Primary CRM data only.
  • Sales Insights seat reading is determined by Primary CRM user records; Secondary CRM seats are not counted.
  • There is no workaround to enable Sales Insights for a Secondary CRM.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can AdRoll push data to both CRMs simultaneously?

Not by default. If you connect both Salesforce and HubSpot to one AdRoll profile the full daily export goes to the Primary CRM only; the Secondary CRM will not receive any data. If you wish to push AdRoll ABM data to the secondary CRM please reach out to your Customer Success Manager so that we can apply an override to push to data to both CRMs.

How is data ingestion handled across both CRMs?

Data ingestion (AdRoll reading from your CRM) remains active for both CRMs, regardless of Primary/Secondary role. AdRoll pulls from both connected CRMs simultaneously to build account and contact lists, journey stages, and workflows.
