This guide outlines the process for connecting a Secondary Advertisable Profile (business unit) to the same CRM (like Salesforce or HubSpot) that another profile is already connected to.
Understanding Your Accounts
In a Multi-Profile setup, your accounts are categorized to manage data flow correctly:

Primary Profile

This is your main or first business unit account.

It holds the master authentication to your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and is the source from which we ingest all core data.

Secondary Profile

These are any of your additional business unit accounts that will be integrated to the same CRM as your Primary Profile. | They inherit the authentication from the Primary and receive a copy of the data, allowing them to run independently without creating redundant data connections to your CRM. |
Prerequisite: Primary Profile Must Be Integrated
Before we can set up your Secondary Profile, your Primary Profile must already be successfully integrated with your CRM.
- Salesforce: The initial integration must be complete. See the Salesforce Integration Guide.
- HubSpot: The initial installation must be complete. See the HubSpot Integration Guide.
Once your Primary Profile is working, follow the steps below for your secondary accounts.
Standard Setup (If Secondary Account Is New)
If the Secondary Profile has never been authenticated or integrated with your CRM, this is the easiest path:

Your Benefit: You do not need to re-authenticate or log in. We reuse the secure credentials from your primary account.
Non-Standard Setup (If Secondary Account Was Integrated Early)
If you previously went ahead and manually authenticated the Secondary Profile yourself with the CRM before we initiated the Multi-Profile setup, you must take one step first to prevent technical conflicts.

Why this matters: Manual authentication can create conflicting settings. Disconnecting ensures a clean slate so we can apply the minimal, correct configuration required for stable Multi-Profile functionality.
