Salesforce Integration: Required permissions for End Users

Read before you continue

  • You must complete the initial Installation of the RollWorks ABM app.
  • The user completing the installation and authentication, referred as the Authenticated User must have the required permissions in this Help Center Article.
  • This is a crucial step to ensure the integration is configured correctly and data is synced daily between RollWorks and Salesforce bidirectionally.

The RollWorks ABM App package for Salesforce includes three permission sets you can assign to your Salesforce End users to control access to RollWorks data:

  • RollWorks Admin permission set
  • RollWorks Marketer permission set
  • RollWorks Sales Insights permission set

RollWorks Admin permission set

The RollWorks Admin permission set must be assigned to:

  1. The Authenticated user that completes the installation and authentication of the App package in Salesforce.
  2. The main Point of Contact(s) at your organization that will be using RollWorks.

When you grant the RollWorks Admin permission set to your End Users they will have the following access:

 

RollWorks Marketer permission set

Recommended for users that only need read/view access

This is the recommended permission set for your Salesforce End Users if they only need to view/read access to RollWorks Custom object data. 

The RollWorks Marketer permission set, enables these users to:

  • View/Read RollWorks Custom Objects in Salesforce 
  • Please note you may need to ensure that end users have access to:
      • View Reports using RollWorks Custom Objects
      • View Page Layouts that expose RollWorks Custom Objects data

 

RollWorks Sales Insights permission set

This permission set is automatically assigned to Salesforce users, when they are granted a Sales Insights seat in the RollWorks user interface.

This permission set, enables Salesforce users to:

  • View the Sales Insights Widget in Salesforce

Please note that assigning this permission set to an end user will only grant view access to the Visualforce Component for the Sales Insights Widget if they also have a Sales Insights Seat assigned in RollWorks.
