Transitioning Legacy Account Lists

If you are attempting to edit an account list created before 9th March 2026 and find that certain data sources (such as specific CRM fields, Intent data, or G2 signals) are missing or unavailable, you are likely working with a Legacy Account List.

To ensure you have access to the full suite of AdRoll ABM’s data sources and the latest filtering logic, you must migrate to the current Account List Builder.

 Who can access Intent Data

Intent data and predictive signal data is only available on certain packages.

Why can't I see my data sources?

Legacy lists built before March 2026 use an older architecture that is no longer compatible with newly integrated data streams. While these lists continue to function in existing campaigns, they cannot be upgraded to include modern data sources.

Step 1: Create a New Account List

To regain access to all available data sources, you must create a fresh list using the current builder:

  1. Go to Audiences > Accounts Lists and click Create a List

    OR

  2. Go to Insights > Command Center, scroll down and click Create Account List
  3. Use the Select Data Source dropdown. You will now see the full range of available integrations (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Bombora, and G2).
  4. Re-create your desired logic and Save the list with a clear name (e.g., "Target Accounts_2026_Updated").

Step 2: Swap the Lists in Active Campaigns

Creating the new list does not automatically update your active marketing efforts. You must manually point your campaigns and playbooks to the new list to avoid any disruption in targeting.

For Playbooks:

  1. Go to Advertising > Campaigns & Playbooks and select the Playbooks tab.
  2. Click the name of your active Playbook.
  3. Click Manage > Edit.
  4. In the Audience section, remove the legacy list and select your newly created account list.
  5. Click Save.

Read more about Select your Audience: Accounts Lists and Groups in a Playbook.

For Individual Ad Campaigns:

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns tab.
  2. Select your campaign, enter the Set Up & click Edit on the top right.
  3. Under Configure your AdGroup Settings, locate the Audience settings.
  4. Swap the old list for the new one.
  5. Submit the changes for review.

Important

Once you have confirmed that your new campaigns are running successfully with the updated list, we recommend deleting the legacy list to keep your workspace organized and prevent accidental use in the future.
