AND or OR operators can be used to create a list logic in RollWorks using your unique logic criteria and multiple data sources. You can use AND (or) OR operators within a rule block and blocks in between. These flexible operators can be used while creating a list logic in Workflows, Enhanced Contact Lists, and Account Lists created via Command Center.
AND Operators
The AND operator is used when you want to define conditions that must all be true for a user to be included in your audience list. For example, if you're targeting companies in the "Technology" industry that also have 100–500 employees, you would use the AND operator to combine these two criteria.
OR Operators
The OR operator is used when you want to include users who meet any of the conditions you define. This operator broadens the criteria and allows flexibility in your targeting by specifying multiple possible conditions, and users only need to meet one of these to be included in your list.
Logic Blocks
A Logic Bloc refers to a set of conditions or rules within RollWorks that define specific criteria to create list logic. A block contains various RollWorks, Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo Attributes, etc to combine a logic to achieve your list of accounts or contacts. You can add multiple blocks based on the requirement.
Operator Limitations
- You can use only one type of operator within a block
- If you switch the operator within a block, it will be changed for all the conditions within the block
- You can use only one type of operator between blocks
- If you switch the operator between blocks, it will be changed for all the conditions between blocks
Examples
- Create a Workflow to hand off hot contacts in CRM to Sales that are exhibiting buying signals. For example, contacts that have more than one page view in the last 30 days, or more than one click in the last 30 days. We also want to make sure we don't pass any contacts from our own company brands: You can define a logic as shown below.
