April 14th, 2025: Legacy Custom Properties no longer receive data
- Our data is no longer sent to HubSpot legacy properties.
- Update your HubSpot reports, dashboards, automations, and Company page layouts to use new custom properties.
- You can remove the legacy properties and their data from HubSpot.
What is changing
In 2024, we launched new HubSpot custom properties to sync our data to your Company records in HubSpot. The new custom properties have been pushed to your HubSpot instance automatically.
You should ensure your HubSpot reports, dashboards, or Workflow automations to use the new properties. All legacy custom properties will have a replacement, so there is no loss in data or functionality.
Benefits
If your company has multiple Advertiser Profiles, the new custom properties allow you to integrate multiple Profiles into one HubSpot instance. We write data back to your HubSpot instance for all your integrated Advertiser Profiles.
Syncing restrictions are removed to give you access to more data and uncover insightful data.
- ICP Fit Grades are synced for all your HubSpot Company records; previously, we only synced ICP Fit Grades for accounts that were part of an Account List.
- Account advertising performance metrics are now aggregated for all types of campaigns launched via AdRoll ABM platform, previously, only Account-based campaigns were synced.
How to identify new custom properties in HubSpot
To quickly find the new AdRoll ABM custom properties when building reports, configuring automations, or customizing layouts:
- When creating a report, type RollWorks in the property search bar.
- AdRoll account advertising, identification, and insights are contained under the group called ROLLWORKS DATA FOR [Profile Name].
- An additional property called RollWorks Sourced, contained under the group RollWorks Data, is used by the integration to indicate if a Company record or Contact record was created by us.
- Do not use properties with the prefix RWLEGACY. We recommend following these steps to delete them from HubSpot.
Multiple Advertiser Profiles integrated to HubSpot
If you have multiple Advertiser profiles connected to one HubSpot instance, both profiles will write data back to HubSpot. You can distinguish each Advertiser Profile's data based on the name of the Group ROLLWORKS DATA FOR [Profile Name].
If you don't know the name of each Advertiser Profile, you can find the name of each individual profile by navigating to Settings > Advertiser Profiles.
How to Transition
Reach out to your CRM Administrator and identify any HubSpot reports, dashboards, or automations that are powered using our data.
Depending on our HubSpot package and how many custom properties are included with your HubSpot contract, you may not have sufficient custom properties available to automatically view all AdRoll new custom properties.
In that case, we suggest deleting legacy custom properties from HubSpot to free up enough space for the new properties.
Create new Reports and Dashboards
Edit your existing reports and replace the legacy properties with the equivalent new property.
Select only properties listed under the header called ROLLWORKS DATA FOR [YOUR PROFILE NAME]
Update your Company Layout
- Navigate to Settings > Data Management > Companies.
- Click the tab Record Customization.
- Click the name of the specific View you want to customize.
- Remove the old custom properties from your layout.
- Add the new custom properties to your layout.
Delete AdRoll Legacy Properties
Follow the steps in this article to delete AdRoll Legacy Properties from HubSpot after you have migrated any exiting HubSpot reports, dashboards, or Workflows to the new properties.
If you do not delete the legacy properties, nothing will happen, as we stopped writing and updating data.
