AdRoll AI Assistant

The AdRoll AI Assistant is a guided, in-platform experience that helps you work with AdRoll ABM using natural language. Ask questions, review optimization opportunities, analyze advertising performance, build reports, and explore supported account and revenue insights without leaving the platform.

The Assistant combines your account context with AdRoll best practices and more than 16 years of advertising expertise to provide relevant answers and recommendations. When it surfaces a recommendation or opportunity, it also provides the reasoning behind it so you can understand the suggestion and stay in control of the final decision.

The AdRoll AI Assistant is currently available in open beta.

What is the AdRoll AI Assistant?

The AdRoll AI Assistant is the conversational way to interact with supported AdRoll ABM capabilities.

Instead of navigating between different areas of the platform to find an answer or analyze information, you can describe what you need in plain language.

For example, you can ask:

  • “How is my advertising performing this month?”
  • “How can I improve my campaigns’ performance?”
  • “What is the spend and conversions on my target account lists?”
  • “Which accounts just became Sales Ready?”
  • “Give me my ABM Revenue Impact Report.”

Depending on your request, the Assistant can answer a question, retrieve advertising or account information, surface a recommendation, build a report, or return supported ABM insights.

How the AI Assistant and HeroIQ work together

The AdRoll AI Assistant is powered by HeroIQ, AdRoll’s AI intelligence and orchestration layer.

Think of the AI Assistant as the experience you interact with and HeroIQ as the system working behind it.

HeroIQ coordinates specialized AI agents that support different advertising and ABM tasks. When you make a request, the Assistant interprets what you are asking and HeroIQ determines which capabilities are needed to respond.

For example, one request may require advertising performance data, while another may use optimization recommendations, Target Account List data, Journey Stage information, Revenue Impact data, or AdRoll product guidance. HeroIQ coordinates the appropriate agents and AdRoll capabilities behind the scenes while maintaining the context of your conversation.

You do not need to choose or interact with individual agents. They work together behind the scenes so you experience one continuous conversation with the AI Assistant.

For straightforward product or setup questions, the Assistant can use approved AdRoll Help Center and technical documentation to provide guidance. For supported workflows that require account data, HeroIQ coordinates the appropriate capabilities to help complete the request.

Requirements and permissions

To use the AdRoll AI Assistant, you need:

  • An active AdRoll ABM account
  • A user role assigned within AdRoll

The Assistant follows your existing AdRoll permissions. It can only access the accounts, data, features, and actions already available to your user role.

Some capabilities require additional account setup:

  • Journey Stage insights require the AdRoll Pixel, at least one Account List, and a connected CRM.
  • Revenue Impact Reporting requires a connected Salesforce or HubSpot CRM.
  • Other capabilities may require the underlying feature, integration, data, or configuration to already be available in your account.

Staying in control

The AI Assistant is designed to help you understand your advertising and account data while keeping you in control of decisions.

The Assistant can surface recommendations, explain why they are being suggested, and help you investigate the underlying information. You decide whether and how to act on those recommendations.

Always review AI-generated recommendations and reporting insights to make sure they align with your objectives.

Data and security

The AI Assistant can use data available within your AdRoll account when account context is needed to answer questions, generate reports, or provide recommendations.

Your account data is not exposed to other advertisers or used to train external AI models.

Access follows your existing AdRoll permissions, so users only receive information available to their assigned accounts and roles.

For product-related questions, the Assistant is grounded in approved AdRoll Help Center and technical documentation.

AdRoll is SOC 2 compliant. For more information about AdRoll security and privacy practices, visit the NextRoll Trust Center.
