ABM Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) Overview

With AdRoll DOOH it’s never been easier to show up outside the home on premium screens, utilize location and audiences for precision targeting, and measure impact across the full-funnel.

 Feature Availability

DOOH is available as a managed service only. Please contact a member of our sales team for more information.

DOOH Targeting

  • Proximity – Set a geo-radius around Street addresses, Latitude & longitude coordinates, or points-of-Interest e.g., sports stadiums, convention centers, etc.
  • Venue – Set inclusion & exclusion criteria E.g. airports, bars, billboards, movie theaters, convenience stores, and much more.

DOOH Audiences

  • Audiences: Overlay third-party audiences and location data from mobile device locations to enhance targeting.
  • Journeys: Activate relevant screens along your audience’s path, as they go about their daily lives, to deliver the right message at the right time.

DOOH Campaign Strategies

  • Conferences & tradeshows
  • B2B buyers
  • Competitive conquesting
  • Seasonal campaigns
  • Events
  • Rebrands
  • Product/service launches
  • Feature/product promotion

Dynamic Creative Optimization

Ability to serve Dynamic ads in real-time across specific formats, typically aligned to live sporting events,

Example:

  • Advertisers want to align messaging with major sporting events and have their ads at the bottom of live score updates that fans receive.
  • Use weather signals so an advertiser’s ads serve only when it’s raining.

DOOH Measurement

A DOOH campaign is considered successful when it delivers against the plan you agreed to at the start of the campaign. Specifically:

  • Market delivery — your ads ran in the geographies (DMAs, cities, addresses, or points of interest) you selected.
  • Screen / venue delivery — your ads ran on the screen and venue types you selected (e.g., airports, gyms, billboards, transit).
  • Impression delivery — the campaign delivered the agreed number of impressions over the agreed flight dates.

When You'll Receive Your Report

Reporting is delivered after your campaign flight ends. Your AdRoll team will share the report directly with you; reporting for managed-service DOOH campaigns is not currently available in the AdRoll dashboard.

What's In Your Report

Your post-campaign report is delivered as a one-page summary covering:

  • Campaign name, advertiser, and flight dates
  • Markets / geographies activated
  • Screen and venue types reached
  • Total impressions and plays delivered against the plan
  • Pacing and delivery breakdown by market or screen type

If you have specific cuts of data you'd like to see (for example, performance by individual market or by venue category), let your AdRoll point of contact know in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.

If you'd like to evaluate impact beyond delivery — for example, lift in sign-ups, web traffic, branded search, foot traffic, app downloads, or sales — you'll need a separate measurement study. See Third-Party DOOH Measurement below.

Third-Party DOOH Measurement

DOOH is more than an awareness only play. Remove the guesswork with third-party partnerships that measure full-funnel impact: foot traffic, brand lift, web conversions, app downloads, and sales lift. Note: third-party measurement is subject to spend, impressions, and flight length minimums.
