If you don't want your ads to appear on certain websites/publishers or mobile apps, you can adjust this setting at the individual campaign level. For example, you may want to exclude websites that don't fit your brand or aren't helping you sell your products or services.
To exclude specific placements by domain or App for an individual campaign:
- Go to this page or navigate from the left-side menu to Advertising > Campaigns & Playbooks.
- Create a new campaign or click on the Web & Social campaigns tab to select an existing campaign you want to edit.
- Once you are on the campaign settings page, scroll down to Choose Web Settings.
- Expand the section and click Advanced Options.
- Under Campaign Exclusions, click +Add campaign-specific exclusions and choose Add apps to exclude or Add domains to exclude.
For Campaign-Specific Domain Exclusions
- Enter the domains you want to exclude, one per line.
- Click Save.
We use an implicit leading wildcard for all domains you enter. For example, if you enter acme.com, we’ll exclude all subdomains that match *.acme.com. See below for example:
| You Enter | We Exclude | We Allow |
|---|---|---|
| acme.com |
www.acme.com mail.acme.com sports.acme.com |
Any domains that don’t end in acme.com |
| sports.acme.com |
sports.acme.com tennis.sports.acme.com |
finance.acme.com www.acme.com |
For Campaign-Specific Mobile App Exclusions
- Enter app IDs associated with the mobile apps you do not wish to target (one per line).
-
The app IDs can be found at the end of the app store URL. For example, to block the mobile app Words With Friends 2:
App Store App ID Where to find it Android com.zynga.words3 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zynga.words3 Apple (iOS apps) 1196764367 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/words-with-friends-word-game/id1196764367 - Click Save.
