RollWorks is now AdRoll ABM
You may notice that some terminology in our CRM integrations still refers to RollWorks. Don't worry, you're in the right place! We're in the process of updating our integrations, and we appreciate your patience while we work to get everything rebranded to AdRoll ABM.
Account field mapping is a critical step to configure how we create accounts in your Salesforce Org, ensuring that data flows smoothly and accurately. We can create new Account records in your Salesforce Org through the following features:
- Command Center: this feature provides you with a unified view of our data signals (firmographic fit, intent, journey state), surfacing insights that highlight where there is uncaptured demand. The feature will flag which of those accounts do not yet exist in your CRM and so that you can create new Account records in Salesforce.
- Contact Discovery Workflows: this feature uncovers new contacts within accounts that exhibit buying signals and creates new contacts or lead records in your Salesforce Org with minimal clicks. As part of the settings of this contact creation workflow you can decide if new account records should also be created when an account does not already exist in your CRM.

How to configure Salesforce Account Field Mapping
To configure your current Salesforce Account field mapping settings:
- Log In to AdRoll ABM or navigate to Settings > Integrations > Salesforce.
- Scroll down to Field Mapping.
- Click on Edit next to Salesforce Account.
RollWorks Sourced Field
This mandatory field allows you to identify which Accounts have been created by us through the Command Center or through a Contact Discovery Workflow. This field can help with attribution or to create reports in your CRM.
When you complete the initial installation of the RollWorks App for Salesforce, we automatically create the custom field RollWorks Sourced in your standard account object. If we create any new Account records in your Salesforce Org we will also update the value of this custom field to True.
Your CRM admin can use the RollWorks Sourced field to create logic to assign the newly created records to your Sales team or to build reports in Salesforce.
Fixed Value field mapping
In addition to the fields mentioned in this guide, you can map a static or fixed value to an Account field of your choice.
This can be especially useful if you want to specify an account status, sub-status.
- Click Add Field.
- Select Fixed Value.
- Type the static text value you want to be synced whenever a new account record is created by us.
- Select the Salesforce Account field where we should write this static text value. In the example we will write the static value "New RollWorks Account" to the Salesforce Account Field Account Sub-Status.
- Click Save to confirm the changes.
Default Account Owner in Salesforce
The Account Owner for the newly created Standard Account record will be the unassigned alias you defined in your Salesforce instance. Click here to learn how to find your unassigned alias in Salesforce.
Managing Changes
- When you change your Account field mapping the changes are applied immediately to your active workflows.
- If you make changes to field mappings after a Contact Discovery Workflow has started, the changes will not apply retroactively for contacts and leads created before the change. They will only take effect for any new accounts created in the next Workflow run after the field mapping changes have been saved in the AdRoll ABM platform.
- Since mappings are stored centrally, any changes you make will apply to the Account mapping being created from anywhere across the AdRoll ABM platform, for example, new Account records created from Commend Center.
Error Handling
- If a default field or a user-selected field becomes unavailable (e.g., if the field name is changed in your Salesforce instance), we will display a warning on both the workflow action slider and the edit mapping slider. This alert helps you identify fields that need attention.
- To resolve issues with unavailable fields, you can either map the field to a different Salesforce field or delete the mapping. Note that you cannot delete or change mappings for mandatory fields.
