[LEGACY] Salesforce Reporting: Custom Reports

Ready to use out-of-the-box report templates

Before you start creating custom reports from scratch we suggest leveraging the out-of-the-box report templates available to you as the easiest way to get started with RollWorks reporting in Salesforce.

After your CRM admin completes the initial Salesforce integration installation search for the folder called RollWorks Custom Reports containing 5 different report templates ready to use. Your CRM admin must share this folder with you during the integration installation process.

Read this article to learn how to find and use the out of the box report templates and to edit these templates to your needs.

Create a report with one RollWorks custom object and its matching Standard object

RollWorks custom object data matches to your Salesforce instance's standard objects, so you can always create reports with one field of that custom object as well as the standard object it matches to. All RollWorks custom objects will match to your Salesforce standard objects as follows:

RollWorks custom object and fields

Matching related Standard object

'RollWorks Account Data' object:

- Data type Account List: Account List, Account Group

- Data type ICPFitGrade: ICP Name, Fit Grade

- Data type Journey Stage: Journey Stage, Journey Stage as of

- Data type EngagementScore: Spike Level, Last Spike Timestamp, Spike Had matched contacts, Spike Score reason

- Unique visitors (last 30 days)

Note: You can only use one data type per report

'Standard Account' object:

Account Owner, Account Name, and any field under your Standard Account object

'RollWorks Advertising' object:

Impression Costs, Clicks, Page Views, Click Conversions (CTC), View Conversions (VTC)

'Standard Account' object:

Account Owner, Account Name, and any field under your Standard Account object

'RollWorks Keyword Intent' object

Keywords, Level, Keywords continuation, Date

'Standard Account' object:

Account Owner, Account Name, and any field under your Standard Account object

'RollWorks User Summary' object:

Impressions, Clicks, Click Conversions (CTC), View Conversions (VTC), Page Views

Standard Lead/Contact Standard object:

Lead status, email, Title, and any custom field under your Standard Contact object

The specific RollWorks custom objects and custom fields synced to your Salesforce instance may vary depending on your RollWorks subscription package. Learn more here.

Create a report with one RollWorks custom object and a non-related Standard object

If you're looking to build a report pulling fields from objects that a specific RollWorks custom object doesn't match to (see table above), you will need to create a new report type using Salesforce joined reports

Contact your company's Salesforce administrator to request a joined report for you.

Create custom reports joining multiple RollWorks Custom Objects

If you are looking to build a report that combines multiple RollWorks custom objects (see table above) and standard objects, you will need to create a Salesforce joined report. Contact your company's Salesforce administrator to request a joined report for you.

Below is an example:

Salesforce Accounts grouped Journey Stage including additional columns to show impressions, clicks, and conversions. This report uses data from multiple objects as follows:

  • 'Standard Account' object -> i.e. Account Name, Account Owner
  • 'RollWorks Account Data' custom object -> i.e. Journey Stage
  • 'RollWorks Advertising Data' custom object -> i.e. account-level clicks, impressions, conversions

Alternatively, if you want to use RollWorks data in salesforce reports without the need to reach out to your CRM administrator to create joined reports you can request them to write the RollWorks fields you want to have readily accessible to your Standard Account object
